ヤブランの名称
ヤブランはキジカクシ科ヤブラン属の多年草。名前の由来は、やぶに生え、葉の形がランに似ているから。別名が多く、リリオペ、サマームスカリ、プラティフィルラとも呼ばれます。

ヤブランは地方名も多く、福島ではテッポウダマ、新潟ではネコノメ、岐阜ではジャガヒゲ、鹿児島ではインノシポなど。それだけ多くの地域で馴染みのある植物ということでしょう。
