カンシロギクの来歴
カンシロギクはキク科フランスギク属。原産地はアフリカ北部で、南欧から地中海沿岸、豪州まで分布する多年草です。日本へは1970年頃に輸入。寒さに強く、真冬に小さな白菊のような花を咲かせるものの、暑さに弱く、夏に枯れる１年草です。花言葉は「冬の足音」「清純」など。
