ユッカは､上は釣鐘のような形の白い花々が鈴のように縦に連なる一方、下は鋭く尖ったロゼット状の葉が四方八方に先端を向けます。

ユッカはリュウゼツラン科イトラン属で常緑の多年生植物です。上は釣鐘のような形の白い花々が縦に連なり、まるで風に揺れると心地よい鈴の音が聞こえそう。その一方で、下は鋭く尖ったロゼット状の葉が四方八方に先端を向けて威嚇しているように見えます。
最初に葉の形状で調べてリュウゼツラン（竜舌蘭）かな、と思いましたが、リュウゼツランは208種もある広い科名。そのため、さらに絞り込んでユッカに行き着きましたが、それでもまだ49種も…。最終的にアツバキミガヨラン（厚葉君が代蘭）かキミガヨラン（君が代蘭）のどちらかだろうということに。
キミガヨランの名前の由来は、花の数が多く、いつまでも咲き続ける様子が「君が代」を連想させるからです。花言葉は勇壮、すべてをもつ。キミガヨランの花は夏～秋に咲き、 アツバキミガヨランの花は初夏と秋に２回咲くことから、両者を区別できます。
しかし、迷いに迷った挙句、ユッカでいいかな、と。響きが可愛いので（笑）。いずれにしても、相反する力をあわせ持つ、聖人の杖のような花です。

Yucca is an evergreen perennial plant belonging to the genus Itlan of the Agavaceae family. White flowers shaped like bells are lined up vertically on the top, and you can hear the pleasant sound of a bell when it sways in the wind. On the other hand, underneath, the sharp, pointed rosette-shaped leaves appear to be menacing with their tips pointing in all directions.
First, I looked at the shape of the leaves and thought that it was agave, but agave is a broad family name with 208 species. Therefore, I narrowed it down further and arrived at Yucca, but there are still 49 species … In the end, it will be either Atsuba Kimigayoran or Kimigayoran.
The origin of the name Kimigayoran is that there are many flowers and the appearance of blooming forever is reminiscent of “Kimigayo”. The flower language is brave and has everything. Kimigayoran flowers bloom from summer to autumn, and Atsuba Kimigayoran flowers bloom twice in early summer and autumn, so you can distinguish between them.
However, after getting lost, I wondered if Yucca would be fine. The sound is cute (laughs). In any case, it is a saint’s wand-like flower that has conflicting powers.
