カシワバアジサイの名前
カシワバアジサイの名前の由来は、葉が「柏」に似ているから。しかし実際、柏の葉は形が丸く、縁も大きく波打っているので似ていません。柏葉紫陽花と葉が似ているのは原産地の米国で自生している「柏」。日本で柏餅を包む葉の柏とは別種の「アメリカ柏」や「赤柏」などです。
