Daisy is annuals of the Asteraceae family. It is a perennial herb that is native to the Mediterranean coast. The genus name Bellis in Latin means “beautiful” and the species name Perennis means “perennial”. This genus name has an anecdote about the tree fairy “Belides”. The guardian deity of the garden fell in love with her at first sight when Belides was dancing with her fiance in the woods. She was chased so persistently that she transformed into a flower called Bellis.
